Capital Campaign
This multi-year facility improvement plan is a public-private partnership between the City of Des Moines, the Library and the Library Foundation. A total of $48 million dollars was committed to the building of a new Central Library, the renovation and expansion of all five branch libraries and the eventual addition of a new branch.

The new Central Library hasbeen open for six years and five of the six branch libraries have been completed. We are now in the final planning stages of Franklin Avenue branch renovation. You may contribute in a number of ways, by printing the form below and mailing your contribution to the Foundation, by purchasing a "square foot" with the form below or by giving on-line through the Donate Now button (please send an e-mail to the foundation if using this method).
